Subscriptions

Dog Diary Plus subscriptions are handled by Apple. Manage or cancel a subscription using the Apple Account used to buy it. Deleting the app or your Dog Diary account does not cancel a subscription. Use Restore purchases in the app if Plus is missing.

Moving to a new phone

Your private diary is stored on your iPhone. Signing in does not back it up. Export a diary backup in Settings before changing phones, and keep that file private. Your Apple device-backup settings may also affect recovery.

Deleting an online account

Open Settings → Account → Delete account in Dog Diary. Read the preview: deleting an owner account disbands its households. Your private diary on this phone remains; use the separate local-data controls to erase it. Read the deletion details.

Family concerns

If content or conduct in your household makes you uncomfortable, email us with a short description. Avoid copying unrelated private information. In the release candidate, Family → Household settings → Safety & membership lets you report concerns, block a person or leave as a member. Blocking removes the other person if you own the household; otherwise you leave it. The household owner can also stop sharing a dog. Contact BrightLane to review a block. For immediate danger, use your local emergency service; this support inbox is not an emergency service.

Location, reminders and weather

Permissions are optional. Change them in iPhone Settings. Choose a time-only walk if you do not want to record GPS. Weather suggestions do not measure pavement temperature and are not veterinary advice or emergency alerts.

Free and Plus

Free includes one dog and three custom routines per dog. Family sharing, additional dogs and additional custom routines require Plus. Each participating adult needs their own subscription. Family opens the plans screen before paid features can be used. Closing it keeps your free diary available. After expiry, saved records remain and Family sync pauses; restore an active subscription to resume.
